SURVEY REQUEST: LOCAL BEHAVIORAL HEALTH NEEDS ASSESSMENT
For Parents/Guardians, the following short six-question survey is administered by the Montgomery County Local Behavioral Health Authority as part of its role as a Pilot Hub, in collaboration with the Community Health Resources Commission, MCPS, and community service providers. The data collected ensures that the voices of students and families are reflected in efforts to enhance and coordinate behavioral health services in schools and in the community. It plays a critical role in their data collection and planning process. The questions center around the most pressing behavioral and mental health concerns among youth as well as the availability of services in schools.
When you submit this form, it will not automatically collect your details like name and email address unless you provide it yourself.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR BHES PARENT-CHILD REUNIFICATION DRILL (FRI, OCT 24, 1:30-3 PM)
BHES is seeking volunteers for the upcoming PCR drill on Friday, October 24th. This volunteer opportunity is critical to ensuring the school staff feel comfortable executing the protocol involved in the event that a caregiver/student reunification needs to take place. Please find the sign-up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0F44AAA72EAAFFC34-58880732-2025.
The school is asking for volunteers to attend from 1:30-3 PM. From 1:30-2 PM, Mr. Legarreta will provide a briefing and instructions. The drill itself will run from 2-2:45 PM, followed by a debriefing from 2:45-3 PM. Volunteers will be tasked with role-playing to ensure staff members understand the protocol and how to implement it in different student pick-up scenarios (some will follow standard protocol and some will not). You will have the opportunity to see your own child(ren) for a portion of this time.
If you haven't already, please read and sign the BHES Volunteer Agreement. For more information on this topic, see the "Standard Reunification Method information" section in Ms. Kemp's Whale Watch. If you have any questions about this drill, please email Mr. Legarreta at Benjamin_Legarreta@mcpsmd.org.
