SUPPORT THE BHES WINTER CLOTHING DRIVE FOR WELLER ROAD ELEMENTARY! (THROUGH DEC 5!)

The Community Service Committee is hosting a Warm Clothing Drive to support our sister school, Weller Road Elementary. Weller Road is a Title I school whose students and families face ongoing needs—especially as temperatures drop. We invite all BHES families to participate by donating gently used or new warm clothing items for both children and adults.

From November 17 to December 5, donation bins will be placed outside the front entrance of BHES. You can send items in with your child or drop them off directly in the bins.

 Preferred Donation Items:

  • Sweatshirts; Hats; Gloves; Coats; Scarves; Sweaters; Leggings; Socks (new only); Underwear (new only); Gift cards (Target or Amazon) - drop off directly at the BHES front desk.

Involve the Kids:  Please consider getting your kids involved — have them help sort the clothing you plan to donate and count the items so they can experience the meaning of giving. And if you’d like, snap a photo and tag the BHES PTA on Instagram and help remind others to donate!

Celebrate TogetherWe’re upping the game this donation challenge and turning this into a grade-level challenge! The BHES grade with the most donations will earn a donut party

Thank you for making a difference—let’s come together once again to help keep our Weller Road friends warm this winter with your generous support!

THE PTA IS HERE FOR YOU

The BHES PTA is committed to promoting an enriching and supportive climate where all members of the BHES community feel safe, seen, and respected. The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee works to advance this goal through educational resources, community conversations, in-school programming, and collaboration with school and county staff. Our focus this year is the Speak Up Strategies to empower our community, students and adults alike, to be upstanders in the face of hate and bias.

The PTA's DEI Committee welcomes input from all members of our community about how we collectively work to prevent and respond to hate-bias incidents within our community. If you are interested in sharing feedback, or joining the DEI Committee, please contact DEI Committee Co-Chairs Nausheen Noor and Kathleen Foster at klubey@gmail.com
