BAROODY SEEKING A WEDNESDAY ON-SITE COORDINATOR FOR WINTER AFTERSCHOOL ENRICHMENT AT BHES

Winter 2026 - Onsite Coordinator (OSC)

Now Hiring: On-Site Coordinator!

Looking for a fun, rewarding, and flexible part-time role? Baroody Camps is hiring an On-Site Coordinator to manage after-school enrichment programs at Bradley Hills!

As an On-Site Coordinator, you'll oversee daily program operations, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for students. You'll manage check-in, attendance, classes, and dismissal, support instructors, and communicate with parents and school staff to keep everything running smoothly.

  • Afternoon hours (~2 hrs, Wednesdays)
  • Training provided
  • $20-$25/hour
  • Bonus: one FREE class for your child!

SIGN UP TO BE A VOLUNTEER FOR CLASSROOM SPELLING BEES!

It's time for the Spelling Bee at Bradley Hills, and we need some volunteers!

Here is how the Spelling Bee will work — Each 4th and 5th grade class will first have a bee within their homeroom classroom. First and second place winners from each of those classroom bees will then be invited to participate in the school-wide bee during the evening of February 12.

We are looking for volunteers to help run the classroom bees in January and early February. Review the details below and then sign up HERE:

  • Volunteering will involve both checking the spelling of words and helping students line up.

  • All classroom bees will begin at 9:15am (arrive at 9am to check-in at the front office) and conclude at around 10:30am on their designated dates. (Historically classroom bees take about an hour - maybe a bit more if spelling-power is particularly strong!)

  • Dates have been coordinated with each teacher - check the signup page for details.

  • All parents are welcome to volunteer - you do not need to be a parent of a 4th or 5th grader.

  • Note that you may not sign up to volunteer for your child's class!

Email Erica Estrada-Liou (edestrada@gmail.com) with questions!

HOST A TABLE AT HERITAGE NIGHT - REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

What is Heritage Night? It is a beloved tradition at Bradley Hills. Each year, we open up the school for one evening and students and their families can "tour the world", visiting various tables with displays that celebrate cultures, traditions, countries, and religions. Tables are set up by volunteer families and can include informative posters, displays, arts, crafts, music, instruments, even food and beverages. It's always a lot of fun!

Are you interested in hosting a table at Heritage Night on February 19th? We would love your support in celebrating cultural diversity at Bradley Hills! Sign-up to represent your heritage (country, region, state, religion, cultural tradition) HERE by February 9th.

UPDATE ON FAMILY AND TEACHER SURVEYS - NEW CULTURAL ARTS ASSEMBLY

Families and Teachers - We heard your feedback, thank you! As part of our review of survey recommendations from families and teachers, one of the strongest requests was for additional Cultural Arts programming.

We’re excited to share that we’ve added a third Cultural Arts assembly for students and staff to enjoy this year. The new assembly will take place toward the end of the school year and will feature 123 Andrés, an award-winning, Latin Grammy–winning bilingual musical duo known for vibrant, interactive performances that celebrate language, culture, and community. Their engaging shows inspire children to move, learn, and explore Spanish and English through inclusive, multicultural experiences.

This artist was recommended by many families, and we’re grateful for your input in helping shape meaningful programming for our school.

Stay tuned for more exciting enhancements the PTA is working on, made possible by your generous contributions through our fundraising efforts.

THE PTA IS HERE FOR YOU

The BHES PTA is committed to promoting an enriching and supportive climate where all members of the BHES community feel safe, seen, and respected. The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee works to advance this goal through educational resources, community conversations, in-school programming, and collaboration with school and county staff. Our focus this year is the Speak Up Strategies to empower our community, students and adults alike, to be upstanders in the face of hate and bias.

The PTA's DEI Committee welcomes input from all members of our community about how we collectively work to prevent and respond to hate-bias incidents within our community. If you are interested in sharing feedback, or joining the DEI Committee, please contact DEI Committee Co-Chairs Nausheen Noor and Kathleen Foster at klubey@gmail.com
