How are we making up the missed school days? In case you missed it: March 20th will be a regular (full) school day (excused absence for anyone observing Eid al-Fitr), and MCPS is adding June 18th as an early release day (and the new last day of school). There are two additional days to make up, but MCPS has applied for a waiver from the state, so we'll keep an eye out to see if there are any more changes!

SPOTLIGHT YOUR STAR PERFORMER IN THE VARIETY SHOW PROGRAM! 

Make this year’s Variety Show unforgettable by giving your student a special spout-out in the Variety Show program!  We have a fantastic show planned with our student performers and 5th grade MCs and singers.

You can include a photo and a heartfelt message to cheer them on!  A spout-out in the printed program is $25 for a 1/4 page spout-out and $50 for a 1/2 page spout-out.

Spout-outs are due by Monday, February 9th. Order Today!

SIGN UP TO HOST A TABLE AT HERITAGE NIGHT (FEB 19)

Sign up to host a table at this year's Heritage Night and showcase your heritage! Share your culture and traditions with students and families as they "tour the world" right here at BHES. Last year over 40 countries, regions, states, religions and traditions were represented. Join in the fun and help celebrate our community's cultural diversity at Heritage Night on Thursday, February 19th. Sign up here by February 9!

Volunteers needed: We are in search of big, strong people who can help us move tables to set up that evening. If available to help, please sign up here. Additionally, we are in search of young people to help that evening who need SSL hours. If interested, please sign up here.  

THE SCIENCE FAIR HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED! (THURS, MAR 19)

The BHES Science Fair has been rescheduled to Thursday, March 19.

Science Fair project presentations will occur in 2 sessions held at the school (see times below). All are welcome to attend and support our student scientists!
