EVERYMIND 988 AWARENESS TRAINING (MON, MAY 4, 8PM, ZOOM)
The Bradley Hills PTA is partnering with EveryMind to offer a virtual 988 Awareness Training on Monday, May 4 at 8 pm. The 988 Awareness training teaches what 988 is, how to use it, how to identify mental health warning signs, as well as empathic listening and what to expect when you reach out to 988.
The 988 Awareness Training is designed to increase understanding of this critical, nationwide mental health and crisis support line, ensuring that communities know how and when to access help.
While it is often thought that 988 is a line for crisis only, most of the calls and texts that are received are for supportive listening, resources, concerns about someone else and support during stressful times.
Our EveryMind speakers include BHES parent Maddie Kapur, Jen Grinnell (Director of Education) and Alison Praisner‑Klumpp (Bridge to Wellness Manager, overseeing services for Walt Whitman High School).

AN UPDATE ON COMMITTEE ROLES FROM THE BHES PTA NOMINATING COMMITTEE
Thank you to everyone who filled out the PTA volunteer interest survey! There was an overwhelming response from volunteers, which is wonderful! However, it means that the PTA Nominating Committee needs a bit more time before roles are set. It continues its work filling and balancing the committees, and plans to have all of the committees filled and the organizational chart finalized by May 22. We appreciate your patience -- and your support!

BHES SPRING BOOK FAIR IS COMING! (MAY 11-14, BHES MEDIA CENTER)
The Scholastic Book Fair at BHES starts May 11th! A portion of all sales goes to support the Bradley Hills Media Center and the PTA.
Here’s a quick set of answers to your most pressing book fair questions
When can my child buy books?
Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday with their teachers/classes (teacher sign up is HERE) Keep in mind times are subject to change at the last minute due to their teaching schedules.
Thursday morning on their own if they have payment and a pass from their teacher
Do we need volunteers?
YES! Please sign up HERE. The volunteer slots are 1 hour slots. Sign up for 1 or more!
When can parents/caregivers buy books?
How can we pay for books?
What is an eWallet and how do I set one up?
Scholastic eWallet account is basically a book fair debit account.
Set one up for your child HERE.
If you set up an eWallet account last year, YOU STILL MUST LOG ON AND REACTIVATE IT. Any remaining money is still available, but does not roll over automatically.
To purchase books, your child just needs to share their name with the cashier, or you can print out the eWallet receipt.
Once you add money to the eWallet account you cannot be refunded. BUT any leftover eWallet funds will be converted to an e-card balance that you can use on Scholastic.com at any time or during next year’s book fair.
Don’t forget to factor in tax when determining how much to include in the eWallet account.
Can I shop online?
Yes! Shop online during May 11 - May 24. 25% of every online purchase directly benefits our school.
