Huge thanks to Mr. Anderson, the BHES faculty and staff, and the many wonderful volunteers who came together to make Field Day happen! This is such a special day for the students and the school and we move into the final weeks of the school-year.

A round of applause for the Movie Night Committee -- Lauren Murphy, Erica Estrada-Liou, and William Liou! It was wonderful to see so many families enjoying the show together on the field, relaxing and enjoying each other's company after the energetic day of activity. Special thanks to Lauren Murphy, Laura Moulton, and Lauren Clark for making sure that there were allergy-friendly and gluten-free snacks so that all families could participate!

Spout out to Nausheen Noor for organizing this past week's Cultural Arts assembly with 123 Andrés! Students enjoyed an engaging performance filled with music, movement, Spanish, sign language, and fun. Thank you for bringing such a wonderful cultural experience to Bradley Hills!

SUPPORTING CHILDREN THROUGH CRISIS - INFORMATIONAL ZOOM FOR BHES (MON, JUNE 8, 6:30-7:30 PM)

Tomorrow (Mon, June 8), Dr. Christina Conolly-Chester (MCPS Director of Psychological Services) and Ms. Kelly Gruitt (MCPS Coordinator, Crisis Response) will be presenting an informational Zoom session to parents and caregivers on handling adult anxiety around children, as well as ways to support your children in developing resilience. PTA Volunteer Openings

5th Grade Promotion (4th grade parent in 2026-27 school year) - Plans the reception after 5th grade promotion. Works with school staff to determine needed resources, purchase and set up decorations, food, water, etc. for the reception. We need one more volunteer! 

Whale Mart (5th grade parent in 2026-27 school year) - Organizes the wildly popular school store occurring periodically before school. Parent volunteers work with 5th grade volunteers to purchase items and set up and cover the store hours, providing the opportunity for them to plan and run a small business. We currently do not have anyone signed up to lead this committee, please consider volunteering so we can continue this tradition for our students! 

BHES STUDENT SHOWCASE (THIS FRIDAY, JUNE 12!)

The BHES Student Showcase lets parents and caregivers come into the classroom to celebrate some of the students' accomplishments and progress over the course of the year. Here's the schedule by grade-year:

• 2nd Grade | 2:30 – 3:00, Classrooms
