SUBJECT: Weekly Whale - October 29

Spout outs!

Spout outs to the BHES spirit wear team for organizing, launching, and distributing class shirts! The team includes Sellers Roach, Melissa Schwartz, Meghan Flinn, and Mary Migliarese. Thank you all!

A whale size thank you to the amazing team that organized our fall book fair! Jessica Ryckman, Kate Cappaert, Liz Ruby, Erica Long, Laura Shull-Chandler, Khushi Desai, Ayse Duzyol, Amanda Gutting, Emily Shao, & Kelly Quehl- thank you!

Last but not least, a huge shout-out to Erica Long, who continues to go above and beyond for our school community! This week alone, Erica has been working the Book Fair every day, coordinating room parents to complete their training and prepare for the Halloween parties, and coordinating ice coffee for staff appreciation during what we knew would be a particularly busy week for teachers. Thank you, Erica, for your time, your energy, your endless follow-through, and your big heart!

Wishing all of our Whales a safe and fun Halloween this weekend!

The BHES Whale Fun Run is coming soon!

On November 6, students will participate in a fun run at BHES during the school day! The Whale Fun Run is the PTA’s BIGGEST fundraiser of the year, helping make all the fun stuff happen at BHES — Movie Night, Spelling Bee, Geography Bee, cultural celebrations, teacher appreciation and so much more! Our goal this year is to raise $20,000 to support all of these wonderful community activities.

We are just over 70% of our fundraising goal, and we need your help! The last day for donations in November 6th.

Register now at MyBooster.com! Make a donation, share with family and friends, and watch your kids get excited as they earn fun rewards along the way!

Check out this video our students watched today.

Every donation helps make BHES an even more amazing place for our kids!

The PTA Membership Drive Ends tomorrow!

We want to express our sincere appreciation to everyone who has joined the PTA this year! Joining supports our school’s programs and events, and helps us treat our amazing teachers to a little extra love (and plenty of goodies)! We know that there are a lot of ways we are asking for money at the beginning of the year but the supported programs are very important to our school. This is the last week of our membership drive so if you have not yet joined please do so as access to the directory will be cutoff on Sunday. If you are not able to access the directory and think it is an error please reach out to us.

Already have an A to Z/Membership Toolkit account? That doesn’t automatically make you a PTA member! To join, visit Membership Toolkit, select Membership Store, purchase your Annual Membership, and complete checkout.

Join by October 31 to help your child’s class and grade win:

  • Pizza party: First class to reach 100% participation. Ms. Luther’s, Ms. Stebbin’s, and Ms. Reyes’ classes are each just 1 person away from 100% participation and Ms. Crossman’s and Ms. Anspach’s classes are 2 people away – we are so close to that goal!
  • Donut party: The grade with the highest PTA participation wins! Kindergarten remains in the lead with only 5 more people needed to join to reach 100% participation!

Need help covering dues? Contact bradleyhillsptaprez@gmail.com so we can help you join.

Already joined? Thank you for supporting BHES!
