THAT'S A WRAP FOR THE READATHON
A huge thank you to all our Readathon participants and their sponsors, for their generous contributions to our PTA, and for supporting our celebration of reading in our school community.
Bradley Hills readers should be so proud of themselves! Together, students logged 202,906 reading minutes and raised $12,172!
The top three classes were Ms. Howell, Ms. Hicks, and Ms. Kim. Congratulations! The following students logged more than 3,000 reading minutes: Nirav Acharya, Jack Lessenberry, Ethan Albert, Ira Gupta, Chetan Korde, Alexandra Ghany, and Syeda Umaiza. Great job!
Top classes will have pizza parties when it's determined that it's safe to do so. Top individual readers will receive special prizes within the next few weeks.
We are so proud of how our community came together in celebration of reading. Thank you once again for your participation and support of the Readathon!

- We are asking for donations of new or gently used children's books. The book fair is for students in Pre-K to 5th grade so please only donate children's books.
- We would love for our students to leave hand-written notes including recommendations for the books they donate!
Please drop off donations in the BHES foyer, the 5412 Glenwood Rd side porch, or 5708 Glenwood Rd beginning now until Sunday, February 6th.

VOLUNTEER COVID 19 VACCINATION ATTESTATION
All school volunteers and partnering agencies will be required to complete an additional new module via their myMCPS Classroom/Canvas account called COVID-19 Vaccination Attestation in order to volunteer within our school district. Currently, all volunteers/contractors must complete the (Volunteer Child Abuse/Neglect (vCAN) module. In addition, depending on level of volunteering, some are required to be fingerprinted, per the vCAN FAQ. Fingerprinting requirements are not being changed.
The new module will consist of a volunteer a) attesting to being fully vaccinated, b) uploading their Certificate of COVID-19 Vaccination from the Maryland Department of Health, and c) agreeing to specific expectations of masking and social distancing while in MCPS facilities.
Since the vCAN module is a 3-year revolving completion timeline, a system message will be emailed to all who have previously completed the vCAN module, informing them of this additional module requirement. The new Two-Module system is currently up and running.
User-Guides on how to access both module requirements and how to access and upload their Certificate of COVID-19 Vaccination from the Maryland Department of Health will be available on the Child Abuse and Neglect and the Volunteers websites. For more information, visit this link. This link contains step-by-step instructions on how to complete the requirements.
RECESS VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Please support BHES recess by volunteering for one or more recess slots. This is a great way to get outside and help supervise fun and games! All volunteers must complete the required training and be fully vaccinated. Sign up HERE.
