MCPS ANITIRACIST AUDIT RELEASE & UPCOMING COMING COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS
Last week, MCPS released the results of its antiracist audit, which identifies a series of recommendations related to each of the six domains evaluated in the report as well as overarching recommendations. The six domains are: School Culture; Workforce Diversity; Work Conditions; PreK-12 Curriculum; Community Relations and Engagement; and Equity of Access. The media release for the report may be found here, and the full audit and executive summary may be found here. The NAACP is sponsoring a community conversation for families with Black students the evening of November 3rd to get feedback on priorities to address the MCPS antiracist audit, one of a series of MCPS engagements to inform the development of an action plan to address the audit's findings. You may register for this NAACP-sponsored conversation here, and a full list of planned community-wide sessions may be found here.
