HOST A TABLE AT HERITAGE NIGHT (THURS, FEB 23)
Heritage Night is a beloved tradition celebrating cultural diversity at Bradley Hills!
Each year, we open up the school for one evening and children and their families "tour the world", visiting display tables that celebrate cultures, traditions, countries, and religions. Tables are set up by generous BHES volunteer families. It's always lots of fun, and very educational.
Are you interested in hosting a table at Heritage Night on February 23rd? We would love your support! Heritage tables may include informative posters, displays, arts, crafts, music, instruments, and also food and beverages. Be creative!
Sign-up to represent your heritage (country, region, state, religion, cultural tradition) here by February 10th.
Sign up to perform! We’d like to invite BHES community to offer a dance and/or musical performance, story-telling, or other cultural demonstration on the APR stage for all to see! Please let us know if you’d like to perform at Heritage Night! vvelezburgess@yahoo.com
More Visitor Flow! This year, we’ll have access to the gym and the first-floor hallways, so we’ll have more room for display tables and easier visitor flow. Please sign up to host a table to help make this evening awesome!
We need your help! Please also let us know if you're interested in helping with overall set-up/clean-up for Heritage Night by emailing vvelezburgess@yahoo.com. We need your help!
Let’s make Heritage Night 2023 amazing! Thank you!

MEDIA CENTER VOLUNTEERS
A mid-year reminder that parents once again have the opportunity to volunteer at the school's Media Center! Our fantastic Media Specialist, Ms. Park, runs a busy program and can use our help in a number of ways. Volunteers may come help while their child's class is at the Media Center, see the schedule here (please note A and B weeks); during the Open Checkout session scheduled everyTuesday from 9:10-10:00am; or help run a Lunchtime Book Club, organized by grade. Please note - you do NOT have to come in on a regular schedule, any time you can make work is fine! If you are interested in volunteering, please email Claire Heffez at claire.hazard@gmail.com, and Amie Park at Amie_Schwartz@mcpsmd.org so that they may put you on the schedule.
BOOK DRIVE FOR WELLER ROAD - COMING SOON!
Weller Road, our Title 1 Sister School, would like to set up its book fair where students will be able to shop for books free of charge. We will have a new or gently used book drive to supply the WR book fair. We will accept children's books for Pre-K to 5th grade.
We'll share more details soon, but for now, please gather any books that your kids would like to share with another eager reader! Thank you!
